Note: "Location" of birth is where the birth was registered, this 
was usually where the actual birth was, but was sometimes a 
nearby town/etc or where a travelling minister was based (which 
was often very distant in country NSW of the 19th century).

Joseph Robinson Jr. is, unfortunately, one of the few lines which I
have not managed to pinpoint an arrival here in Australia. Irish
records prior to the 1850's are very sparse, especially catholic
records (Joseph was catholic). It is extremely unlikely that Joseph's
birth will ever be found in Ireland, likewise any preceeding
generations. Joseph was a mariner and no trace of his arrival in
Australia has been found to date. Records of convict, free and
military arrivals are fairly well documented, however arriving
mariners are not well documented, especially since many arrived as
crew and jumped ship in port. There was a Mr Robinson who arrived from
New Zealand around 1840, who was previously based at a whaling station
in NZ which had closed down about that time. Unfortunately the list
of personnel from the whaling station arriving in Sydney does not list
christian names and Robinson is a very common name - there were 6
convicts named Joseph Robinson - all of whom can be eliminated as
being my Joseph, as well as all Joseph Robinson's listed in free
immigrant lists and military personel.

All locations are in NSW, Australia, unless otherwise specified. 
Isabella Ross was from Newton Stewart, Co Tyrone, Ireland.
Joseph and Isabella married at St Andrews, Presbyterian. Their
children were baptised as both presbyterians and also as Roman
Catholics.
